Eloping at Greenbrier in Gatlinburg

Greenbrier is a darling little area of the Smoky Mountain National Park located just outside of downtown Gatlinburg. Known for its bubbling river and woods, this spot is perfect for the eloping couple who loves nature. The wedding ceremony spot at Greenbrier is on a natural “beach” at the edge of the river, making the water a beautiful and serene backdrop for your ceremony.

Things to note

  • Gorgeous riverside backdrop

  • Offers opportunities for wooded pictures

  • Holds up to 25 guests (But might be a bit of a squeeze)

  • Parking is limited but available. You might want to carpool

  • You may bring decorations and speakers

  • No smoke bombs/fireworks are allowed here

  • Dogs on leash are allowed here

  • Only available before 10am May-September (see Ely’s Mill for a great alternative)

  • The location is down a small embankment

  • Not crowded at available times
