Gatlinburg Elopement Packages (All-Inclusive & Stress-Free)

You've decided to elope!

Couple in Cades Cove after eloping in Gatlinburg

And just like that, the stress of a big wedding starts melting away.

Couples like you are my favorite — the ones who skip the traditional stuff and zero in on what actually matters to them.

But hold on… you have no clue how to plan an elopement in the Smokies.

How are you supposed to pick a breathtaking spot from hundreds of miles away? How do you know which vendors are actually good? You've got a vision for the day, but pulling it together from afar is a lot. You don't have local knowledge — and that's exactly the problem.

That's where I come in.

Couple eloping in Gatlinburg Tennessee on the foothills parkway at sunset

Hi! I'm Alisha Bacon

Owner and coordinator at Effortless Elopements — but really, more than that. I was born and raised in East Tennessee, so when you work with me, you get a local who knows the good locations, the good officiants, and the good places to grab dinner after the ceremony. I'm also a photographer, which means I plan your day with the pictures in mind from the very start. Pinterest-worthy, "wait, send me that one" pictures. The ones you'll actually want to show people.

Whether you and your person are the hike-every-weekend type or the snuggled-on-the-couch type, I'll plan an elopement that feels like you. No cookie-cutter days here. Your elopement is in great hands.

Yes, I plan your elopement — but what does that actually mean?

Here's what you can expect when you book with me:

  • A dedicated planner from start to finish. Unlimited email access, replies within 24 hours, and all my "born-and-raised-here" knowledge at your fingertips. The stressful details? I handle them — you don't even have to think about them.

  • Photos that genuinely wow you. I plan every elopement around getting incredible shots. That's the photographer in me.

  • The best location for your vision. We've scouted the most photogenic spots in the Smokies and we'll help you pick the right one — mountains, streams, woods, or a rustic little church.

  • Permits and reservations, handled. National Park ceremonies require permits, and figuring out where to even start is its own headache. We've got it.

  • An officiant you'll love. Stellar reputations, real passion for what they do, and ceremonies that feel meaningful — not phoned-in.

  • Trusted vendor recommendations. Florists, bakers, restaurants, hair and makeup, anything you need for your stay. I send all my couples to the same trusted local people.

Ready to say "I do" in the Smokies?

Let's plan it.

You won't find another Tennessee elopement company with photos this good

I'll just say it: most elopement companies aren't that focused on your pictures. When you book with us, you get a photographer from a team I've personally put together and trained — every one of them knows how to capture those Pinterest-perfect shots. And here's something most people don't realize: photographing an elopement is a totally different skill than photographing a big wedding. Our photographers know elopements inside and out.

I care about this so much because I've been the bride with bad wedding photos. I know what it feels like to look back and wish someone had done it right. Your pictures are what you'll be showing your kids and grandkids someday — they deserve to be amazing.

A lot of companies treat you like a number. Not us. These are your memories, and I want them to be incredible.

Ready to do this thing?

Same! But first, I'd love to get to know you a little. Fill out the form and tell me how you met, or how he proposed, or whatever you want to share. I'm a sucker for a good love story.

I'll get back to you within 24 hours, and from there we'll pick your package and your location.

Can we have guests?

Absolutely! I love having guests there, and we can fit up to 25 at most locations.

Just keep in mind that the more people you add, the more the logistics shift — parking, bathrooms, photography time, location guest limits. We'll figure it all out together.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I reserve my date?

Fill out a contract and pay a 35% retainer. The rest is due one month before your ceremony. Payment plans are available — just ask.

Where should we stay?

Depends on where you're getting married! I put together a short guide here to help you find a cabin near your location.

Quick reference for the closest area to each spot:

  • Foothills Parkway — Wears Valley, Townsend, and Pigeon Forge

  • Cades Cove — Wears Valley and Townsend

  • Ely's Mill — Gatlinburg and Pittman Center

  • Greenbrier — Gatlinburg and Pittman Center

I really like VRBO for finding cabins in these areas.

How do I get a Tennessee marriage license?

I wrote a whole blog post walking you through it. After your ceremony, we'll file it with the county clerk for you.

What if it rains on my elopement day?

Yeah, rain happens here. (I wrote about this too.) I always tell my brides — if you don't like the forecast, wait 5 minutes, it'll probably change. The good news is it almost never rains all day in Gatlinburg. Overcast and sprinkly days actually make for fantastic photos. We can pull out umbrellas, shift the timing, move indoors to your cabin, or just wait the storm out for 10 minutes. Don't panic if it looks like rain. We'll take care of you.

Can someone walk me down the "aisle"?

Yes! Anyone you love can give you away.

Do you provide lodging or cabins?

We don't, but VRBO is a great place to start your cabin search.

What does a typical timeline look like?

I ask you to arrive at the ceremony spot 15 minutes early, dressed and ready. That gives us a little wiggle room in case anyone gets lost, time for hair and makeup touch-ups, and a chance to walk through the ceremony with you before we kick it off.

Then we'll do a first look (if you want one), the ceremony itself runs about 8–10 minutes, and the rest of the time we spend on couples portraits and family photos.

Sample timeline for a 3:00 PM ceremony:

  • 2:45 — Arrive, touch up hair and makeup

  • 3:00 — Walk through the ceremony, note any custom pieces (like written vows)

  • 3:05 — First look, couples photos

  • 3:10 — Ceremony begins

  • 3:20 — Ceremony ends

  • 3:20–4:00 — Couples and family portraits

How will I get my pictures?

Everything is digital — your photos come in an online gallery with a print release, so you can download, print, and share them however you want.

How many photos will I get?

The 60-minute Classic package usually delivers 60–75 images. The 30-minute Essentials package usually delivers around 30.

Is there somewhere to get ready?

Please come dressed for the wedding — there are no changing rooms or bathrooms at most spots. If you really need to change on site, a pop-up changing tent from Amazon does the trick.

Do you organize receptions?

Nope, we're a ceremony-only company. Most of my couples grab a reception dinner at one of the local spots I recommend.

Can I play music for walking down the aisle or a first dance?

Yes! Bring a Bluetooth speaker and we'll make it happen.

Can I have a bridal party?

Of course. A best man and maid of honor, a full 18-person crew — totally doable.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes! Up to 36-month terms available.
