The Foothills Parkway

Best Scenic overlook near Gatlinburg for elopements

Scenic with amazing mountain views, the Foothills Parkway is our very favorite Smoky Mountain elopement location! Just steps from your car, no hiking is required for a perfect mountain backdrop!

  • Holds up to 25 Guests

  • Ample Parking

  • You may bring decorations and speakers

  • No smoke bombs/fireworks are allowed here

  • Dogs on leash are allowed here

  • This spot is wheelchair accessible

  • Ideal time for ceremony: Sunrise/sunset.

    ***If you would like pictures at the rock wall, a 90 minute session is required due to travel time**

Greenbrier

Beautiful Riverside elopement spot near the heart of Gatlinburg

Greenbrier is a beautiful spot just outside of Gatlinburg and probably the most versatile location for your Smoky Mountain elopement. It offers both stunning forests, woods, and beautiful riverside locations.

LOCATION INFORMATION

  • Holds up to 25 guests (But might be a bit of a squeeze)

  • Parking is limited but available. You might want to carpool

  • You may bring decorations and speakers

  • No smoke bombs/fireworks are allowed here

  • Dogs on leash are allowed here

  • Only available Early morning in the months of May-September (see Ely’s Mill for a great alternative).  No time restrictions October-April 

  • Location is down a small embankment/ not wheelchair friendly

  • Ideal time for ceremony: late morning to early evening

  • Sunrise/sunset not available in this location

Cades Cove

Stunning mountain view elopement location

Cades Cove is a fan favorite for sure for Smoky Mountain elopements! While more walking is required, it’s such a beautiful place, you won’t mind a bit. It offers fields, country roads, and mountain views for miles. With additional permits, you can also choose to have your ceremony in a rustic Cades Cove church for a more traditional Smoky Mountain wedding.

LOCATION INFORMATION

  • Holds up to 25 guests

  • Parking is limited but available. You might want to carpool

  • You may bring decorations and speakers

  • No smoke bombs/fireworks are allowed here

  • Location is an easy walk from the parking area

  • Traffic on the loop can be heavy during peak times

  • Closed on Wednesdays and no weddings allowed weekends in October.

  • Ideal time for ceremony: Sunrise/sunset


Cades Cove Missionary Baptist

Best traditional venue in the Smoky Mountains

A darling chapel in Cades Cove for a traditional feel. With sessions 60 minutes or longer, you can also take portraits in the nearby fields with a mountain view.

  • Parking is limited ( carpooling is a MUST)

  • No smoke bombs/fireworks are allowed here

  • Simple decor allowed

  • Indoors- no weather surprises!

  • Pews provided for seating

  • No additional fee

  • Ideal time for ceremony: anytime


Pigeon Forge Gardens

Best value Smoky Mountain Venue for 50 guests

Conveniently located in the heart of Pigeon Forge, this location boasts mountain views and so many photo opportunities. From the giant cross to the white arbor, there are multiple ceremony spots to choose from.

  • Holds up to 50 guests

  • Chairs and decor allowed! Must either bring you own, or we offer 25 chairs rentals upon request

  • Private

  • Leashed Dogs allowed

  • Gazebo on-site for bad weather

  • Cabins on property for lodging!

  • Ideal ceremony time: morning or evening

  • Additional fee of $400 is required to use the property.


Cataract Falls

The Smoky Mountains only waterfall elopement location

Cataract Falls is a super easy hike in The Great Smoky Mountain National Park area: A flat, 10-minute walk from the visitor’s center. This is a nice and easy spot for an elopement.

  • Holds up to 10 guests

  • Parking is ample

  • No smoke bombs/fireworks are allowed here

  • Location is a 10 minute walk from the parking area

  • Highly public area, we recommend sunrise elopements for a more private ceremony.

  • Ideal ceremony time: early morning

Ely’s Mill

Best private riverside Gatlinburg Elopement venue

A darling , private venue in the heart of Pigeon Forge. Creekside and wooded ceremonies are perfection at Ely’s Mill. Of course they are overflowing with texture, natural beauty, barns and cool old stuff like trucks and tractors to make photos one-of-a-kind!

  • 20 chair rental included ( $400 value!)

  • You may bring decorations and speakers

  • Pavilion on-site for bad weather

  • Perfect alternative to Greenbrier during summer months

  • Leashed dogs allowed

  • Complimentary “Helping hand” ( $300 value!)

  • Additional fee of $450 applies

  • Ideal ceremony time: anytime

  • Sunrise/sunset ceremonies not available due to tree cover.
